The fraternity brothers of Phi Theta Pi are honoring the legacy of George Dupey by creating this endowed fund. George was a beloved friend, brother, and mentor. Funds shall be given toward an active member of Phi Theta Pi in good standing and/or business major.
A little more about George Dupey -
George graduated from Jackson Twp. High School in Hoytville in 1952. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Tiffin University in 1957 and his Master's Degree from the University of Dayton in 1981.
George retired from Tiffin University where he was employed for 39 years and held various positions including Registrar, Acting Dean, Senior Lecturer in Accounting, Vice President for Administration and upon retiring was the Director of Career Services. George was also employed part-time at the Tiffin Seneca Public Library from 1968 until 2006 as the Clerk/Treasurer and was also the Treasurer of the Tiffin-Seneca Library Foundation.
George was a member, Past President and past Secretary/Treasurer of the Tiffin Kiwanis Club. He was also a member and Past President of the Kiwanis Manor Board. He was a life member of Phi Theta Pi International Business Fraternity, where he served as an advisor for the local chapter for 24 years and was Past President and Grand Chairman of the Board of the Alumni Association. George was a charter member of the Business Booster Club of Tiffin where he was Secretary/Treasurer for 5 years. George was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher for 30 years as well as having served on various boards and committees.
George had many professional memberships that included the Seneca County Fiscal Officers Association, Ohio Governmental Fiscal Officers, Job Service Employer Committee, Collegiate Employ-Net, Mid West Placement Association, College Placement Council, Ohio Employer/Career Planning and Placement Group and the Ohio Collegiate Job Fair Committee.
