First Generation Dragons
Definition of a first-generation college student: “While the definition can be complicated, being a first-gen student means that your parents did not complete a four-year college or university degree. Even if your parents took a few college classes or even completed a two-year degree, you are still considered first-gen. You are also considered first-gen if your older siblings went to college but your parents did not” (NASPA 2022).


First-Generation Dragons seeks to support students who are the first in their families to go to college through building connections, establishing relationships, and instilling confidence. Research has shown that first-generation college students are more likely to face financial barriers and hardships. This scholarship aims to assist a high-achieving, first-generation college student who has inevitable financial need. Donating to this scholarship shows your commitment to retaining at-risk students who are breaking barriers and paving new paths in their families.

Tiffin University Day at Xcaret Mexican Restaurant (Tiffin, Ohio only)
Come to the Xcaret Mexican Restaurant at 870 W. Market St. in Tiffin on Wednesday, September 18th between 11:00 am and 10:00 pm. Tell them you’re supporting Tiffin University to make sure that 15% of the proceeds will be donated to Tiffin University!
